What we believe
God is one, manifested to man as God the Father, God the Son – Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit.
God created all and there is nothing in all of creation which He did not create. This creation was from nothing and was by His command through His Son, for Their sole purpose.
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, He laid aside His glory and was incarnate of the virgin Mary and became flesh. Wholly God and wholly man.
Jesus gave His life on the cross to atone for our sins and to make peace between fallen humanity and God. He laid down His life by His own choice, it was not taken from Him by any man. God the Father did not allow His body to suffer corruption, but resurrected Him after three days and three nights and later He ascended to glory to take His place at the right hand of God the Father.
Jesus will come again for His people, and to judge the world.
Jesus Christ became the life-giving Spirit to mankind and dwells in all who will permit Him to do so.
The Holy Spirit proceeded from the Father and the Son and teaches men in all wisdom and truth. His purpose is to convict men of sin, righteousness and judgement.
The Holy Scripture – the Bible – is the God ordained and breathed Word to all people. Whilst it is inerrant in its original form, though transmission and the many translations of man the purity of the Word has regrettably been corrupted. In His wisdom God built in such redundancy that though some aspects may have been corrupted, we can see His plan for the redemption of man running through it.
We ascribe to the concept of ‘Sola Scriptura’ – by scripture alone – as posited by Martin Luther that points us to the word and away from mans doctrines, traditions and reasoning, these today as in the days of Jesus earthly ministry lead many astray. [Mark 7:13]
